Custom treenet structures, designed for real environments.

Every project is shaped by the site, the trees, and how people will move through the space. Below is a selection of recent treenet builds, each designed to balance safety, function, and connection with nature.

Deck TreeNet Extension

This project involved the design and installation of a suspended treenet platform, adjacent to client’s deck structure. From the deck you climb into the net.

The net was woven using existent structures and the original tree layout, minimising impacts to the space.

Arthur was an absolute delight to work with, so polite, warm and hardworking.

We absolutely adore our new treenet. It has opened up a vibrant fresh space and opportunity for us to enjoy the beautiful nature that is on our doorstep, in our own backyard.

Every morning I sit up there and drink a cup of tea to start my day and it fills me with joy and serenity to be up with the birds in the tree foliage .

On the weekends, my husband Nick and I like to take a pillow out and nap in the treenet or read a book together enjoying the serenity. We feel very blessed to have received Arthur’s worksmanship.

Immersive Net Space

Designed as a more open treenet experience, this build focuses on free movement rather than a fixed path. The layout allows people to sit, pause, or move slowly through the nets, creating multiple ways to engage with the surrounding environment.

Care was taken to balance stability with gentle movement, so the space feels responsive while remaining safe and comfortable.

Arthur did an outstanding job setting up the treenet for us! His attention to detail and creativity transformed our space into something truly special. We couldn’t be happier with the result and highly recommend him for any future projects!

Elevated Rope Path

This treenet installation was designed to guide visitors through the site via a continuous elevated rope path. The structure maintains consistent height and spacing while adapting to the natural growth and placement of the trees.

Clear entry and exit points were incorporated to support smooth flow and easy supervision.

Our tree net is a super cool addition to our garden area by Arthur of Slackmate Weaves. Thanks so much for our awesome tree net, we’re so happy with it and stoked to be some of the first to have one of these made by you here in the Illawarra. Hours of fun, outdoor play, relaxation and appreciation of our bushy garden already. I highly recommend Arthur and his tree nets!

Climbing Nets

This build creates a contained climbing environment, giving users the freedom to explore vertically and horizontally within the nets.

Net geometry and tensioning were carefully planned to provide flexibility while maintaining control and support, allowing for active play without additional harness systems.

The tree net Arthur made us is like a work of art. Our kids love it, their friends love it and we love sitting up in the trees now with a book and cup of tea on the weekend. It was lovely getting to know Arthur as he was creating the net, and the end product is beyond anything we could have imagined!

A space to reconnect

We created a space where this beautiful family can get together and enjoy their backyard.

Different patters

We use different weaving patterns like the one pictured in the image above.

Tree Care

To avoid disrupting the tree’s nutrient supply, we use timber blocks to distribute the load evenly around the trunk’s circumference.

Attention to detail

Every detail of the build matters to us. It’s our way of ensuring safety, longevity, and respect for nature.

Weaving magic

This isn’t just a build—it’s a quiet collaboration with nature, shaped by hands that listen.

Creating with care

From bark to branch, we pay attention. Because building with trees means building with reverence.
